Benita Lesikwor Sackey wins three prestigious Pearson awards for Daffodil International school

 Daffodil International School had one of their students win three prestigious awards at the Pearson Principals Forum and Outstanding Pearson Learner Award.

Year Six student, Benita Lesikwor Sackey who took part in the Pearson Edexcel Achievement tests for Year Six (iPrimary) and Year Nine (iLowerSecondary) attained the highest mark in the world in the Pearson Edexcel iprimary in Mathematics.
She also bagged the highest mark in Ghana in the Pearson Edexcel iprimary in Computing.
The highest mark in Ghana in the Pearson Edexcel iprimary in Science also went to Daffodil International School’s Benita Lesikwor Sackey.

 Receiving her awards, she expressed her gratitude to the school and her parents for believing in her and granting her the opportunity to learn.
Though she described the journey to her win as quite stressful, she revealed there were fun times as well.

“I’m very happy and excited for these awards. I thank the school and my parents for the opportunity. The journey was stressful but it was fun too”, she said.

 Speaking to the media at the event on Friday, November 14, 2025, the Head of Academic Affairs at Daffodil International School, Dr. Adoble Afi Akorfa explained that the school has adopted the Pearson Edexcel which is based on the British Curriculum.

The students partake in the test and are awarded for the highest marks globally.

According to her, Daffodil International School located at Adu Gyamfi Ave. behind Coastal Estate,Tema New Sebrepor is focused on making the students active participants in the learning process.

“We look at the learner being an active part of the learning process. Gone are the days where the teacher will come to the classroom and it’s all about, teacher says and that’s it. We want the kids to take responsibility for themselves by being active in class”, she stated.
